Target Group and Prerequisites
Yogilates is suitable for all individuals, who enjoy moving and want to to do something for their health. Personal fitness or previous sports experience do not play a role. This level is also suitable for individuals with slight mobility restrictions.
Content and Objectives
Two types of body work are brought together in Yogilates. There are significant differences between yoga and pilates: while yoga combines holistic breathing exercises, deep relaxation, and body exercises, pilates focuses on the physical aspects to improve posture and strengthen muscles.
In yoga breathing is considered the point of intersection between spirit and body. You breathe in and out through your nose using the ujjayi breathing technique. In contrast you breathe through your nose in pilates but breathe out through your mouth, consciously breathing through your ribcage.
This course provides information about the different approaches, making an excellent choice for those who are still undecided.
