The IT Center uses the Mailman e-mail software for communication in medium to large groups. The distribution lists made available under the domain "lists.rwth-aachen.de" are being operated as moderated or unmoderated announcement and discussion lists.

Lists are pre-configured by IT Center staff according to the requirements of the customer.

The list owner has the opportunity individually to configure, manage, and moderate the list after its provision through the Mailman web interface.
