Microsoft gives warning of a security flaw in Word

Microsoft gives warning of a security flaw in all supported versions of Word. It is currently used by attackers.

The flaw is related to RTF files and Word versions 2003, 2007, 2010 and 2013 for Windows as well as Word for Mac 2011. The threat is created by opening prepared RTF files with Word in Outlook.

Microsoft offers a „Fix it“ to remove the threat. It prevents the usage of RTF files in Word. There is no update for patching available at the moment.
