Directory Services Windows
Directory Services Windows is an IT Center-supervised service for the authentication of users in a network. For the service, Microsoft Active Directory (AD) is used as a server component. Authentication can be performed for users and desktop workstations based on Microsoft Windows. The configuration settings defined in the Active Directory are used for the user and the workstation (group policy settings).
The service also provides an automated backup functionality for the directory service database. This includes Implementation and monitoring of the backup function. The backup service is commissioned by the customer and is implemented in accordance with the backup service regulations. Local administators are responsible for the maintenance and supervision of the system.
