After a successful pilot phase, the ELN@RWTH service will officially start regular operation on October 1, 2025. With the electronic laboratory notebook eLabFTW, RWTH Aachen University offers a modern solution for the digital documentation of experiments, analyses, and materials and equipment used.
ELN@RWTH is aimed at institutions, employees, and students and supports both research and teaching. A second instance is available specifically for internships and theses in teaching.
The eLabFTW platform is operated as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) by Deltablot and offers a user-friendly web interface, role-based rights management, audit trails, and interfaces (e.g., REST APIs) for connection to other research data services.
With the start of regular operation, ELN@RWTH will become a central service for the entire university – an important step toward open, transparent, and sustainable research and teaching.
