The RWTHcontacts service provides the leading central directory of organizations and persons at RWTH.
Department 5.0 of the Central University Administration and the IT Center have jointly consolidated data on organizations in a central directory that is independent of specialist applications. The background to this is the fundamental modernization of organization and personal data management at RWTH Aachen University with the aim of being able to adequately support all digitalized processes.
The service consists of the following components:
- RWTHcontacts serves as a platform for displaying RWTH organizations and persons. Among other things, the data from the RWTH person directory and the RWTH organization directory are displayed.
- RWTH Organization Directory: In this directory, the functional addresses and contacts of the organizations are maintained by the organization administrators (Role "Verwaltung Organisation").
- RWTH Person Directory: In this directory, organization administrators (Role "Verwaltung Organisation") can assign all persons belonging to the organization to the organization and then maintain the official addresses and contact details of the persons at their organization.
