In order to address the growing threat posed by viruses, worms, and similar threats, RWTH Aachen University has been participating in various state license agreements since 2006, which enable the cost-effective use of professional endpoint security solutions.
Under the terms of the current agreement, RWTH Aachen University departments can use Cisco Secure Endpoint software free of charge on employees' work devices. This is a cloud-supported security solution for detecting viruses, malware, and other attack scenarios.
Since students and private use of Cisco Secure Client are not covered by the NRW state agreement, we have compiled recommendations for free and paid antivirus software for you.
