Are you interested in mathematics, computer science and other natural sciences?
Would you like to study theory as well as gain a lot of practical experience?
Are you curious to learn how to develop software professionally as part of a team?
You can combine all of this in the dual training program for mathematical-technical software developers (MATSE) with the training-integrated degree program “Applied Mathematics and Computer Science (B.Sc.)” at FH Aachen.
The dual MATSE apprenticeship starts on the first working day in September. It is possible to apply all year round.
Prerequisites
As a student, you should have good grades, especially in mathematics and science. You do not need to have the Abitur or Fachabitur with a full practical phase at the time of application, but you must be aiming for it in the current school year.
As a change of degree program, you should still be interested in mathematics and computer science and should not have been exmatriculated in a related or comparable degree program.
Documents for the application
Your application for an apprenticeship as a MATSE should consist of the following documents:
- a cover letter,
- a current CV with your telephone number and e-mail address,
- a copy of your Abitur certificate (general higher education entrance qualification) or Fachabitur certificate (entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences) with proof of the full practical phase. If you do not yet have the final document, your application should include your last two half-year reports.
- If you have obtained your degree (general higher education entrance qualification/Abitur) abroad, proof of a language test is required. Please also refer to our page for applicants with foreign qualifications.
- If you are currently studying or have completed your studies, your application must include a transcript of records or the final document from your previous studies.
Any document that is not written in German must be sent in a notarized version translated into German.
