Unfortunately, we must discontinue the printing service we have offered for many years in its current form at the IT Center.
The reason for this is the poor technical condition of the printing equipment in use. After a thorough analysis and various attempts at repair, we have unfortunately had to conclude that the equipment is beyond repair due to its advanced age and numerous existing defects.
As we considered how to maintain this service at RWTH, synergies with the ZHV’s in-house print shop quickly became apparent. Therefore, the printing service will be integrated into the university’s in-house print shop, creating a central point of contact for printed materials at RWTH.
The university’s in-house print shop plans to launch the printing service shortly. Further information about the new printing service will be provided by the in-house print shop.
