Coscine is given a completely redesigned user interface. The new interface is intended to make the platform clearer, more intuitive, and more user-friendly. Feedback from user surveys conducted in recent years was also incorporated into the redesign.

Among the new features are a clearer interface structure, additional filtering and sorting options for projects and resources, and an improved display of content and metadata. Accessibility was also taken into account during the redesign. In addition, important information such as maintenance notices and current announcements will be more visible and directly available within Coscine going forward.

The new web interface is now available as a beta version and can be tried out directly by users. A pop-up allows them to decide for themselves whether they want to test the new interface now or continue using the previous view. Both interfaces access the same data. The beta version is not a separate test environment but is being further developed in parallel with the existing interface.

Additional features will be gradually added to the new user interface. Feedback and suggestions from the community are therefore expressly welcome.

You can learn more about the new features, the beta version, and the ongoing development of the user interface on the RDM blog.
