New Shibboleth-version
The RWTH Aachen Single Sign On (shibboleth) will get a new design based on the RWTH Corporate Design.
The IT Center provides the necessary infrastructure and all particular service-providers will connect their services to the new version. In order to ensure a smooth changeover all relevant providers were informed long before the start of this change.
The activation of the new login page (single sign on) will take place between 1st December and 15th December 2016. During this period there will be a mixed operation between already converted services and those undergoing conversion. So you can see the old and the new design when you login, depending on which service you try to use.
From mid-December onward all services will use the new Single Sign On only.
Why do we make this change?
Changing to a new current version of the identity provider does not only increase security but it also adds more transparency regarding the personal data you transfer to our systems.
After login you receive an overview of the attributes you have to submit in order to use the appropriate service. You can decide if you want to provide the information or not. Be aware that you will not be able to use the service if you do not grant your data to be submitted.
