The IT Center has already participated in the beta test in order to benefit from the new service as quickly as possible.
As already announced at the beginning of July, the new system replaces the old Adobe Connect system and enables members of the RWTH Aachen University to authorize themselves directly at the DFN VC system. The new service portal has already been activated by DFN and login via Shibboleth is now possible.
Advantages of the new system
With the new service, employees of RWTH Aachen University can conduct video and web conferences ad hoc and without prior reservation of resources. There, all users with the new service can directly access the service portal and register as organizers.
As an organiser, you are able to set up meeting rooms and prepare invitations for the corresponding participants. Participants do not have to have their own account, but can also come from institutions that are not members of the DFN-Verein. This makes it possible, for example, to invite industrial partners or international discussion partners to a meeting room.
