Since the beginning of the year, TU Darmstadt and RWTH Aachen University have formed the "National High Performance Computing Center for Computational Engineering Sciences" (NHR4CES).
The alliance is now changing the way computing resources are requested and approved. In the future, Tier 2 project categories will no longer separate between members of RWTH Aachen University and other members of German public or government-recognized teaching and research institutions. With this change, the project categories "RWTH Medium" and "BUND" will no longer be available for new applications. Two new project categories are introduced to replace these categories: "NHR Normal" and "NHR Large."
Computing time will be requested via the common NHR4CES portal. The process is very similar to the previous procedure.
