Microsoft 365 (M365) is a range of subscription services (including Microsoft Office) offered by Microsoft. At RWTH Aachen University, M365 is available to students and staff—with different service scopes and licenses—as a central IT service provided by the IT Center for Studies, Research, and Administration.
The M365 licenses are obtained from the Microsoft framework agreement and can be used during its term.
RWTH employees, members of Department 10 (Medicine), and scholarship holders can use M365 for activities related to RWTH on their work devices. Each eligible person can install M365 locally on up to 15 devices (5 PCs/laptops/5 tablets/5 smartphones).
RWTH students can use a variety of Microsoft products as desktop and web applications for their studies via the Microsoft 365 Education A3 Student Use Benefit license.
