From November 6th to 8th 2019, Japanese, French and German scientists from the HPC community met in Japan to discuss research results and future work at the trilateral workshop "Convergence of HPC and Data Science for Future Extreme Scale Intelligent Applications".

We are proud to announce that Prof. Matthias S. Müller and Dr. Christian Terboven participated. Also, Dr. Christian Terboven presented his contribution "Task-parallel Programming for Reactive Numerical Simulation".

The three-day event in Tokyo brought together researchers from the fields of High Performance Computing (HPC), Mass Data Processing (Big Data) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), as these research fields are highly interdependent. The participants exchanged ideas in order to determine the direction of cooperation between Japan, France and Germany in the research fields.

Further information can be found on the event website.
