Increase of E-Mail Storage Space to 2 GB in the @rwth-aachen-de Domain

At the end of August 2018, the available storage space of the mailboxes in the @rwth-aachen.de domain is increased. The changeover has already begun.

The storage capacity of approximately 107,000 private e-mail mailboxes in the form of [firstname.surname@rwth-aachen.de], and the functional mailboxes in the @rwth-aachen.de domain will be increased to 2 GB each. Reason for the increase is the recurring demand from students and especially the concrete demand of ASTA in 2017 for more space for their e-mails. By increasing the storage space for the private e-mail inboxes, it is intended to ensure improved accessibility of the students, who receive all study-relevant information via e-mail.
